Ulmer’s Auto Joins Milford Community in
Celebrating Frontier Days
Every year, Milford lets its hair down for its annual Frontier Days celebration, four days of fun, food, entertainment and good company. While the original canoe races have been replaced by lawn mower races, the tradition of coming together as a community remains the same.
The team at Ulmer’s Auto looks forward to the Frontier Days festival every year, and this summer, we had the privilege of participating in the Frontier Days parade, the kickoff event for the entire celebration. Both of our shuttles worked overtime on Thursday, June 3. After spending the day getting our customers around town, they “marched” in the parade, which wound its way from Lila Avenue to the festival grounds.
This short highlights video captures the spirit and fun of the event. If you missed the parade and Frontier Days this year, we highly recommend marking it on your calendar for 2011!
Ulmer’s, the Salem Business District and
Our Cincinnati Neighbors Raise More Than
$3,000 for St. Vincent de Paul
We recently wrapped up the Salem Business District’s month-long fundraiser for St. Vincent de Paul and boy, are we proud to call all of you our neighbors. Together, we were able to raise $3,176.25 for the charitable organization, money that will help provide needy members of our community with food, shelter, clothing, transportation and emotional support.
As a founding member of the Salem Business District and longtime supporters of St. Vincent de Paul, we here at Ulmer’s were determined to do our part. We pledged $5 from every oil change to the cause, and our wonderful customers came through, showing up in droves to make the fundraiser a success. We performed a grand total of 359 oil changes for a donation of $1,795. We could not have done it without you, so thank you for using your oil change to give back.

Thank You For Sharing Your Art!
We had a blast looking at all the entries for our first annual Ulmer’s Auto Center art contest. Your great ideas for the theme “If Animals Could Drive…What Would They Drive?” were lots of fun to look at. Our Anderson location received entries from four local schools, and our Milford location received 180 submissions from four schools. All the entries showed off your powerful imaginations.
Winning students, parents and grandparents attended the award ceremonies held on November 17 and 18 at 6PM at Ulmer’s Anderson and Milford locations. Be sure to stop by the Ulmer’s Auto Care Center’s reception area during your next visit to view the winning artwork by these talented young artists!

Tail-Wagging Fun at Dogapalooza
Ulmer’s had a blast sponsoring Dogapalooza 2009, held on Saturday, October 10, at Beech Acres Park. The event was fun for families and pooches alike, with a pet parade, biscuit eating contest and a look-a-like contest for dogs that resemble their owners. Local traffic reporter Chuck Ingram was our emcee for the event, guiding us through the festivities.
All proceeds from the event benefited the Anderson Park District Dog Park.
The Oil Change That Gives Back
Each year, Ulmer's Auto Care Center partners with St. Vincent de Paul to raise funds for food for those in need in the Anderson and Milford areas. During our oil change that gives back program, we donate $5.00 from every oil change to St. Vincent de Paul Stores. Check back for dates of the next program to keep your car running efficiently while helping your neighbors in need.
